CATERING DEPARTMENT
The catering department at Nyamwange Technical Training Centre, is identified as one of the best.The department offers a wide range of courses at various levels and caters for any persons interested in acquiring knowledge and skills required to work in the large hospitality industry in Kenya and beyond the borders.
Diploma courses takes three years and a minimum entry qualification is a mean grade of C- (minus) in K.C.S.E or a pass in craft certificate in catering and accommodation or food and beverage. The department also offers a craft certificate course in food and beverage. There are also NITA courses (Level -3, Level -2, and Level -1) in food and beverages.
The catering department offers full-time and short courses of two to six months in the area of cake making, pastry, front office and house -keeping. The institution is offering these courses in collaboration with the government institutions around. The Centre has a modern restaurant and a kitchen for training.
